80% of our jewelry is handcrafted by an artisan group in rural Jaipur, India, which has more than 25 years of experience in silver craftsmanship. This artisan group is aided by SETU, a Fair Trade organisation that ensures these marginalized, independent artisans obtain a fair wage, safe working conditions and other benefits.
The organisation also conducts workshops to train artisanal groups on enterprise building, improving its product development and technical processes, as well as provide them with market feedback. This ultimately has a social impact on the overall community, while preserving generational craftsmanship.
By purchasing a piece of our jewelry, you are supporting the livelihoods of artisan communities.
Below shows the various reasons how SETU supports these artisans and why Fair Trade matters.
